are old friends like old clothes?

Sometimes when we buy new clothes we tend to dress as much as we can the newest, because they are more interesting, they give us a new look, they can be more flattering, and we almost forget to bring in the old clothes with the latest.

Under certain circumstances when we are rounded by new friends, interesting people, we tend to stop thinking of that old friend that supported us in a bad time, when we were alone.

  1. It's important to remember old friends—of all kinds. :D

  2. That is so true! Not to mention the fact that normally we slowly
start to go back to our old 'friends'.

  3. Yes, clothes can be a bit like the Velveteen Rabbit story. I have a new dress in my closet that I am so wanting to wear. But, your post makes me want to go through my closet and see what old friend I might be neglecting.

  5. Hmmm...interesting question. Sticking with the analogy, there are varying reasons why we don't wear some older clothing--fit, evolving style/taste, etc. Then, there are those precious pieces that we treasure (even if we don't wear). It is possible to think of friends in the same way.
