sunshine on my skin…

Today is a stunning sunshine day so we went to the beach, but the water was too cold for me.
The water in the near island sea has a higher temperature.

Before leaving the beach we stopped at the bar to drink a water bottle, meanwhile I was seeing how to work with my new mp3.

holidays’ thoughts…

"Begin challenging your own assumptions. Your assumptions are your windows on the world. Scrub them off every once in awhile, or the light won't come in."

~Alan Alda

Being on holiday is not a physical thing. It’s about where your head is at.
Being on holiday is a state of mind.
And the opposite of “being on holiday” is “not being on holiday” which is not to be confused with “being at work” and “being at home”.
By going on holiday you do not change the way you think.
I think “life balance” maybe becomes more prominent during the holidays.

a day at the capital and something more…

After all yesterday I didn’t go to watch SATC. It doesn’t matter; there will be more days to go to the capital.
We went directly to Colombo Shopping Centre for the first shopping expedition.

OMG stores with Sales were over crowd. I couldn’t stand that, there was a time I had to stop, because I started to feel that I was having a panic attack.

But sales are over, the clothes that still are being sold haven’t interest, at least for me, or maybe I haven’t the skills to jump into those piles and search.
However I manage to buy three pieces, a black cardigan (always in style), a black lace shirt (hope can be in style for fall) and a black leather (?) jacket (not in my style, but loved the style).
Pictures will be posted a.s.a.p.

Don’t know why but it seemed that I was attracted to the parts where the few pieces of the new collection hit the stores.
Black, gray, purple in many shades, mustard and some orange are the most seen colours, and yes I bought something, but you must see the episode with the pictures of The Seeker’s new Fall Collection.

Today the sky was cloudy, so we went for a drive to a city near by, Caldas da Rainha.

I took these pictures near the lake in the city park.

the first days…

First days of holidays are always the better. We think there will be plenty of time to do whatever we want and also to rest.

The weather at Peniche, (stop your vicious mind… the word has a Greek root, not a Latin one, so the similarities with the P word aren’t real ;) ), is being a bit crazy. Foggy at the morning, sunshine at the afternoon and chilly at evening, but always a bit windy.

We haven’t been yet at the beach, but we have done long walks and we are always out.

Yesterday I wore my floral maxi dress. I took one of the pictures near the sculpture that honours the Peniche’s lace makers, (a rendilheira). It’s a special lace, the “bilro” lace, that you can see here a picture.

I’m very happy with my new long earring.
It was made just for me, and free of charge, by a girl that works at the café we usually go.
She was wearing one, and I said to her “I love your earring, where did you get it?”
She told me “Don’t worry I’ll make you one”.
Now I have also one. I love this kind of earring to wear alone or with just a little ball one on the other ear.

Once again “Searching the Inner Me…” has been honoured by the gorgeous and talented lady (¯`·._.·[***Celina***]·._.·´¯) from LUXOS E LUXOS with the Prémio Dardos, (Darts Award), which made me very happy, because the Darts Award recognize the values that each blogger shows each day on its commitment by transmitting cultural values, ethical, literary, personal, etc. ...
Thank you so much, my dear for thinking of me and for your generosity in sharing it with me.

Logo que me seja possível cumprirei com as regras.

Now today’s outfit.
I know I’m wearing flats, but for long walks flats are better.

I’m trying to visit your blogs as normally, but it’s not easy, because I just spend short periods of time in the internet. I must live the moment… sun, beach, adventure…
So I think you’ll understand.

Maybe tomorrow we’ll go to the capital. If so do you know what I’m going to see??? Well I think you wouldn’t guess, because it’s history, but not for me… so I’ll see SATC ;)

Now I leave you with just one word….

Delicious!!!!!

the travel…

When we left home it was raining a bit, some showers.

The flight was great, but I made a complain, a written complain. Because when we booked the flight tickets I asked for a vegetarian meal. The tickets say “vege meal”, and when they start serving the food there was no special food, and the meal was roasted beef. I ate nothing. So I had to complain.

When we got at the Lisbon airport we wait more than an hour for the luggage… after we went to the rent a car and we also wait a long time to pick the car, well it was almost midnight when we arrived Hubby birth town.
It was cold and foggy… and I complained…

At least I spent most of this time doing something good, reading.
I read almost a book, and I’m enjoying it very much.
It’s “Follow Your Heart” (Va' dove ti porta il cuore) from Susanna Tamaro in which “A grandmother writes a series of letters to her granddaughter describing her ways of overcoming generations of pain. A bittersweet, heart-warming novel spanning generations and teaching the universal truths about life, love, and what lies within each of us.”

Now the travelling outfit…

must do’s…

I’ve been tagged by the cute yiqin from Qin At The Disco to do the 5 Things meme, as well by the lovely Miby from Las cerezas de Miby to tell about 6 unspectacular quirks.
I didn’t forget it dears… in time I’ll do it.

Also my blog has been honoured by three gorgeous and talented ladies, autumn from autumn's forgotten dreams, Miss L from Times of Glory and Grayburn from Grayburn with the Brillante Weblog Premio Award '08.
Thank you so much ladies I feel really flattered with this compliment.
Now I have the difficult mission of passing this award out to other bloggers. I think that mission is gigantic for me. So I also will do it in time.

Now I’ve been packing for my trip to mainland. It has been a fight to know what to put in my luggage. I want to take everything with me, and to choose just some pieces…

Well, my dear readers, I hope I’ll return soon as I’m thinking of doing some posts (at least with some casual outfits) from mainland.

Take care, enjoy and have fun. I’ll try to do the same ;)

asking for some help…

Next Monday I’m travelling to mainland for some holidays.

As you know “Sales are here” and I’ll have the opportunity to do some sales shopping.
But I don’t want to buy a thing for Summer; I’ll buy something just if it’s appropriated for Fall.

Since I’m far behind Fall’s 2008 trends, I want to ask some help from the fashionistas with insights.

Thank you!

I've got a message…

My fellow blogger friend, the sweet and lovely not to mention talented Catherine Ashley from Catherine Ashley Talks Fashion made this post dedicated to me, to cheer me up.

Thank you so much my dear, I’m deeply touched with your lovely cheering up.

they have gone…

They have gone home. But they stayed in our hearts and memories.
We can be apart physically but we are close in minds and emotions.

Have a safe trip! I hope we meet again soon…

feeling sad already...

I'm already feeling sad and unhappy. Why?
Because tomorrow sis and goddaughter will leave to their homeland, and I don't know when I would be with them again.
I know I must celebrate and remember the great and funny time we all had together, because we love each others.
But right now I'm feeling sad...

Today's Outfit - 07/14

My dear readers and my friends bloggers, I know I’ve been a bit away from this blog, but I think all of you understand it. I’m grabbing, as much as I can, the time with sis and goddaughter.

Besides I don’t think you have been missing me…

But today I took some time to do a few shots. I wore my red polka dot ruffled and halter dress, since it has no backs, which I don’t think very appropriate to be at the office, I also wore a short cardi to work.

Channelling the python Bottega Veneta wedges I wore some beige snake skin shoes.
