Today's Outfit - 10/01

So yesterday I went to the movies with Hubby, we went to watch The Dark Knight and no after all I didn’t wear my faux leather pants, but my black jeans.

In this post the nicely Make Do and Mend from Make Do and Mend talks about the concept of SLOW FASHION which I think very interesting. I propose you to check her post.

In fact, after analysing some trends for Fall 2008/Winter 2009, is my opinion that we can see slowly the return of power dressing, also we can say that it’s a season of reconsidered classics and ladylike takes on traditional basics. There is a slightly concept (maybe because of recession) of a kind of Investment Dressing with pieces that make the rest of our wardrobe function flawlessly day after day, year after year.

I also suggest you to read this post from the pleasurably Agnes in which she has deep thoughts about The Cost of Luxury.

But today was a bad hair day…. As I’ve said here before, my hair is full of personality.

Now, have a good night and... a cheese :)

black fishnets - Calzedonia
black pencil skirt - H&M

  1. Wow -- thank you for the recommendation. And for your support as well, I really appreciate it :-)

If this is how you look on a bad hair day you've got nothing to worry about. You look totally pulled together to me and your hair looks great this way.

    Thank you again :-)

  2. This looks great! I esp. love the combo of the plaid scarf with the pink of the belt and the green. It's preppy, but European too!

  3. I love Make-do's concept and I look forward to reading Agnes' post.

I wish you could see my bad hair days. I sort of look like a troll that lives under the bridge. You just don't know how bad a bad hair day can be.;-)

  6. I am really liking the color combination Ms Seeker. Very fresh and funky, but seasonal too.
I agree about the fashion having to reflect the times. Weird stuff will be left on the sale racks or not even ordered by the buyers. People will go safe and classical.
    xx
(good news if you like weird stuff, it will be cheap!)

  10. Thank you for leading me to the post by Agnes. I enjoyed that reading. Made me think a lot which is a good thing.

You're so right about the current situation and trends. Investment pieces.. media is using that just to get us buy more stuff but never mind we know better don't we?

Your bad hair day look isn't half as bad as mine. Hooray for you. Love that pink belt!

  21. Seeker: there enough blowhards in the world who are never afraid to express an opinion on their own ignorance. So a few more people who consider things but say nothing (at first) are very welcome.
    xx
ps. Those colors inspired ME today. I wore red and purple together. Ecclesiastical purple and satanic red? or the Holy vs the suffragettes.
And guess what? I gotta job...
