TO - 11/15 - I've seen better days...

Genius is of small use to a woman who does not know how to do her hair.

~~Edith Wharton

I will take that one step further. I know how to do my hair.
It’s just sometimes, my hair don't pay attention and co-operate. There are days when I’m sure that it is trying to pay me back for something that I did...

The weather at the island is very moody… We can have a sunny day and some hours later lots of rain.
Today it rained a lot and since is weekend I chose a very casual and comfy look.
So do you notice something???
Yeah, that’s it… I’m wearing a hat!!!!
I had been talking in the thoughtful Sal’s blog about my love for hats and my lack of courage to wear them and as I was writing I was taking the decision to be brave and start to introduce them quickly.
But the wind was trying to take it out from me ;)

On the Island of Haze

black leggings - United Colours of Benetton
geometric printed tunic - La Redoute

  1. As always, it all looks great on you. And I love the hat. I love how you have two different accent colors going, it reminds me of the pianist's two hands, playing in harmony. You're really good at that :-)

  2. I did notice the hat, and the black. However, what really catches my eyes is the leather jacket. Yesssss!

    That is classic, and timeless.
    Good post darling,

    kisses

p.s. the hat on your profile is what attracted me along with other aspects of you, to your artistic blog.

    kisses again.

  10. My hair is also very uncooperative sometimes :(. It's so annoying! But I love how you're wearing the hat! Suits you so well.

  11. I like your hat and how you matched with your signature colours.

one thing.. you might want to try with your collage.. in picasa you can select the background to match your blog background colour instead of having it white. Then again you could be changing the colour in the future so it's really up to you. :)

  12. I just loved the first sentence: so true! and as an African, I live several bad hair days here and there!

I like your tunic and the third photo the most.

You are loving PICASA, aren't you? :)

  21. This is such a different and great look for you. Love it.

I cannot do hats, I have a big head and lots of hair. They never work on me. I envy those who can do them. You look great, as always!

  23. i love these photo collages. And although I'm sure most women were taught how to put their hair up in her day, I'm betting she had a maid doing her hair daily! Not that I blame her, in-house stylist is up high on my fantasy list.

  24. OMG it is sooooo true..... thanks for the tip... usually when my hair insists in disobeying i end up punishing the rebel with a haircut so short that it wont let it move freely, period. unfortunately after 2 weeks i always realize that i did it to me ......... and that i'd have to live with it for another 2 years till it grows back. it sucks.

lovely hat, this was the best solution for bad hair days.]
    xoxo
