TO - 02/28 - maverick with the “Rolling Stones” T… just lots of pictures…

Today I wore my new “Rolling Stones” T, with the tongue logo, I didn’t want it to look very rock-y, so it ended like this.
Anyway I had to dress a cardi, because despite the sunny weather it was a bit cold.

I went for pizza, some dessert and a cappuccino.
I had to celebrate, after all it was my dearest friend from Mexico Birthday.
Hope you had a wonderful time my sweet and lovely Oli.

I took a lot of shots, since I didn’t know which one to post… I posted almost all *laugh*

Since February is ending I hope March will be a great month, after all Spring will come…

"UNIQUE and CHIC" Award...

The gorgeous and lovely janettaylor from Janetteria has created the "UNIQUE and CHIC" Award and had the kindness to include my blog in her list. I feel so privilege that she thought of me for this so cool and gorgeous award. Thank you so much my dear.

And the rules are:
1 - Put the logo on your blog or post.
2 - Nominate at least 10 blogs which you think are UNIQUE and CHIC.
3 - Pass it on let them know.

So it’s also a privilege to pass it to the below fellow bloggers that post about their personal style on a daily basis (in alphabetic order):

I have some more awards and tags to pass and do, I didn’t forget it, but this “homework” must be done slowly.

TO - 02/25 - on Ash Wednesday… ashes to ashes… chocolate to me…

Today I didn’t go to the office. Since yesterday was the Carnival Holiday, half of the workers went to work Monday and the other half went today – Ash Wednesday. I was one of the Monday workers.

So this afternoon I went… windows shopping.

I’m beginning to feel the pressure of the Island. I need to go urgently on a trip to mainland. Besides, today I saw on the TV news about “the best chocolate cake of the world”… can you imagine where… at our capital.
I’m trilled to go there on our next trip.

TO - 02/24 - I had fun taking these shots… after all it’s Carnival…

It’s Carnival, and as I said before here at the Island there’s a very peculiar way to celebrate it.
Last year I made a post giving a brief view of it. If you’re interested you can check here.
If you ask me if I’ve celebrated it, I must say no. But it was so nice to be at home, resting, today.
It didn’t rain, but was very windy.

Letting my inner child have fun…

new acquisitions…

My last acquisitions were the “Rolling Stones” T, that I wanted for some time ago and that my friend F. ordered on-line and this leopard print bag with a bow, from Tally Weijl (spotting two trends: leopard print and bows).
Well I don’t know if the bag is worth because as I’ve said before… I’m not a bag’s woman to be changing it all the time.

thank you for all the love and support...

I'm grateful to be part of this spot of the blogosphere, I feel that I’m surrounded by such a generous and fantastic group.

I want to tell everyone who demonstrated me much love and support with so nice words on my last posts’ comments a big and colourful “THANK YOU”

TO - 02/23 - blue curacao... only God detects the sorrow…

“Your mother has Alzheimer's!” says the doctor.

And on that moment you feel like you’re being pushed on your stomach.
With the “first crisis” and a disease like Alzheimer's, the first challenge is facing the truth about your loss and beginning to grieve the decades ahead.

But than things aren’t so tough and you live the moment and you “know”, but you “forget” and almost deny.
Until the next crisis happens, and as time goes by and more crisis take place I think the challenge is really just knowing that your happily-ever-after has been turned over.

Life is not easy.
That's a part of our existence, we all know. There are so many things that we don't and can't accept because of so many reasons.
Failures, rejection by others, being misunderstood, being wrongfully accused and disappointments are to name a few of the stuff that have the potential to freeze our minds, to stop our inner clock from ticking, to obstruct our innermost to let things go.
And also is dealing with this insidious disease that robs a person of his or her dignity and slowly sucks the life right out of them.
It is also a fight for everyone, like me, who cares or has cared for a family member with Alzheimer's and lives with the fear that they, too, may be afflicted someday.

Therefore I want to thank everyone that commented on my last post.

TO - 02/20 - it may cause a few looks of shock, but I tell you this cure will surely rock...

When you think stress is getting the best of you,
shout out an obscenity or two.
Then turn and chuckle at what you've done, and stare
back at everyone!
Make yourself look like a fool, in this game there
really is no standard rule.
Just let the pressure blow out, it happens when you
let the words fly about.
The silliness that you will feel, makes you get a
real thrill.
And makes everything ease inside, when you release
the stress seems to subside.
It may cause a few looks of shock, but I tell
you this cure will surely rock!
Holding too much deep inside, will make you angry
and dissatisfied!
And every time you think you can take no more, just
take your stance out on the floor.
Hold your head high and blow it all out, rant and
rave, scream and shout!
Then stop and look around at all the dropped jaws
that can be found.
Following up with the best laugh you've ever had,
when its over I'm sure you will be glad!

TO - 02/19 - feeling gray can be equal of dressing gray…

This is just to tell you why I’ve been a bit away.
I’m too tired. You must be already bored because I’ve been saying this regularly.
But it’s how I feel…
Yesterday as I’ve told you I had a meeting that went at least until 8h p.m., and the conclusions were made this morning.
And the other work is still on my desk…
I’m sorry, I’ll try to catch you on weekend, well, I hope, we must not forget it’s going to be Carnival ;)

At the same time as I was feeling tired I was a bit gray… so mainly gray was TO.

TO - 02/18 - power dressing from the 80’s and the rain… freedom…

The world is not at ones will.
You can't take the liberty to understand liberty in whatever sense you like. Freedom has its own routine, rules and regulations. And rituals. And of course a long and well-defined tradition.
So no inner freedom operates in a social, historical, cultural and emotional void. Or vice versa. And therefore, freedom also deals - we like it or not - with a harmonious living. And it's mostly about a) a very sharp sense of initiative (intended to fit the outside world) and b) an updated version of the self (intended to meet the most subtle requirements of self-evaluation).
Neither the "freedom" nor any other "humanistic concept" can make you somebody that matters.
Take any possible liberty and you will soon hate yourself. Learn every possible definition and you will hate knowledge for good and all. Follow your egoistic heart till the end of the road and you'll lose your friends and family in less than one year. Stick to rigorous logics and see yourself losing the precious sense of spiritual and emotional nebulousness.
The rules and regulations are not the antonyms of "freedom" and "feeling".

TO - 02/17 - sometimes we have to know how to make small talk…

I don’t know why is so hard for me to make small talk, but having a lesson or two would have made certain parties that I have attended a whole lot easier to get through.

Why is it that certain people leave you tongue tied, when there are other times when you simply can’t shut up??

Tomorrow I’ll have an important meeting, I’m preparing for that.

Thank you for your comments on my last post.

TO - 02/15 - on a road trip… I got the wind on my hair…

As usual at Sundays we went on a “road trip”, with mother, around some places of the Island.
It was so much windy and the humidity was probably at 98%. “Great” for the hair, you know…. *laugh*

When I’ll retire I would like to go to live at mainland. But I know I just can live near the sea. Or else I would miss the black basalt and the blue of the sea.

I’ve tried to put a detail on my skirt, wearing a brooch matching the tights. I think it worked.

Tomorrow I’ll have my two hours yoga class, so maybe I’ll have no time to visit you, if so I'm sorry.
Wish you all a great working week.
