600th post – The Art of Jesse – Alkimia

I’ve been waiting for a special moment to show you a special art piece that I was given. And what better moment that the celebration of my 600th post.

The very talented artist and my dear friend Jesse, from The Art of Jesse, has created and sent me this fierce painting as a special gift. More, he allowed me to name it.

I must say I felt very touched, grateful and happy. I even danced the Happy Dance with Happy Feet when it arrived.

When I unwrapped the package and I saw it, the first word that came to my mind was "alquimia", the Portuguese word for alchemy.
Alchemy transforms a normal thing into gold, which means changing something without value in a very valuable thing.
That's how I see this painting, two halves joining and changing in a value thing, a heart. (Not a broken heart)

So I named it "Alkimia"!!!

Thank you so much my dear friend Jesse, words are failing to thank you.
I wish you all the best and may the Universe be with you!!!!!

Namasté Jesse!

TO - 03/28 - unflattering, out of age, pleated tapered ankle length pants… a jacket... a lace top… with an 80’s vibe…

First of all I want to apologize for being away from your blogs, and mine, but I’ve been with lots of things to do, with lack of time and some stress.

I want to THANK my very talented and dear friend Jesse from The Art of Jesse for this post.
I also want to thank all blogging friends, dear readers and kind friends that have been voting for me here.

Today is a true spring-y day and later I’ll be at my friend T’s home celebrating her birthday.
Thinking of all these aspects I wanted something comfortable, something neat and something colour.
Comfortable… my unflattering, out of age, pleated tapered ankle length pants, neat… my lace top, colour… my red short blazer.
Mixing all this I’m channelling my youth… I’m a girl from the 80’s!!!!

TO - 03/23 & 03/24 - with the rainbow… is there a solution…?

I’m really very tired today. Those last two days of work were filled of meetings to find solutions.

We are obsessed with solutions. Ever since we are very little, we are taught to reject the impossible tasks. There is nothing as stressful as a solution-free problem. There is nothing as intimidating as an ambiguous signal we get from a life situation, from a friend, or from a stranger. We want our life events to be legitimate, solvable, predictable, and controllable, structured and, if experienced in public, politically correct. Those who failed to come up with a solution for their own problems are labelled as "unprofessional", "inferior", "sick", or, even worse, "irrational". Besides, it is anomalous to set a hopeless task. The - often painful - awareness of having a non-practicable plan is, according to modern (clinical) thinking, close to either paranoia or to severe anxiety. However, we no longer like to talk about separating the real from the illusive; we are hypocrite enough for only talking about viable and non-viable plans. The more evident the lack of solution for a certain problem, the less likely for that problem to appear on "healthy", "reasonable", "successful" persons’ agenda.

So the first outfit is from yesterday and the second one from today.
Did I say I wouldn’t wear my turtlenecks anymore until winter??? If so I was definitely wrong…

I’m so sorry for being so behind on your blogs, I hope you’ll understand my lack of time, I’m trying to catch you…

TO - 03/22 - what you would serve at A Mad Hatter’s Tea Party??

Well, it’s been a while since I read Alice in Wonderland, but I certainly remember the Mad Hatter.
Hmmm… I wonder what you would serve at A Mad Hatter’s Tea Party??
I have nothing planned, but despite I’m vegetarian certainly not vegetables.
I don’t care if there is a rabbit.
I’m thinking tea and fancy cakes with lots of chocolate and whipped cream!

I’m trying not to wear my turtlenecks, I’m tired of them, just hope I can do it because of the cold that still is.

I took these shots when we were sauntering with Mother and with a nude face. Well no need a big thing for me to have a nude face, just miss the lipstick.

Hope everyone will have a great working week.

TO - 03/21 - my new old jeans... or my old new jeans...

Who said it was spring? Have the spring gods be informed of that?
I guess not, because it’s cold, dark and windy.

Well, as everybody knows jeans and denim are hot for this spring in light washes, specially bleached, acid and so. They are all over, so I thought they might also be on my boxes. Hmmm… maybe someday I will need to talk about my boxes.
So making a raid trough my boxes I found this jeans that lovely sis gave me on one of my trips to Canada. For one reason or another they were in my boxes, and now… they will make some great weekend or holiday’s outfits. Don’t you think?

OMG my washing machine is sick. It’s making some weird noises. First it was just when it finished, now it’s also while washing the clothes. What if the “doctor” says it’s dying…?

I must tell that I’m satisfied with my new haircut.

TO - 03/20 - here comes the Spring… here comes the Spring… it’s alright…

We are all together and we are loved…

We are all special and have a lot to offer the world around us…onward and upward…ever seeking always growing.

Standing still means to slip backwards and lose our focus.
The challenge is to know and be known…to love… to feel…
to be who I am with no explanations or excuses.

Now about my links…

I've put a new gadget with my blog roll. I hope I haven’t lost any of my links, but I'm asking you, if you please check if your link is already there. I will be grateful if you will tell me if something is missing.

TO – 03/19 – let’s welcome Spring… time for a change… with a new hairstyle…

Today here we celebrate Father’s Day.
Father's Day is a special day for everyone! We use this day to honour our fathers.
May the light be with you, Dad! I still miss your smile… Because You Loved Me!!

Hence tomorrow, March 20 around 11:44, will occur the Equinox of Spring, for us on the Hemisphere North.
Well, it’s still cold and not very sunny, but you’ve hope… :)

I really needed a hair cut, thus… to welcome the arrived of Spring, I went today to the hairdresser and made some changes. I’ve shorted it and made some nuances.
What do you think???

TO – 03/17 – when I grow up… and my new top…

"What do you want to be when you grow up?"

You know the question. You're asked it from an early age. For most of us, the answer changed as we grew up and got older. At different times in my childhood, I wanted to be a ballet ballerina, a science investigator, an architect, an inventor or an artist. Those are the ones I remember, anyway.

As a child, our answer to that question is stimulated by our likes and what makes us happy. But when we leave high school, the question takes on a serious tone, doesn't it? If going to college, you're supposed to pick a major - what you want to do for the rest of your life.
Instead, most of the times, our careers or college majors are determined by other factors: money, career growth potential, demand, what our father/family did, etc.

Do you remember what you wanted to be when you were a child? The answer(s) could provide insight into your soul's passions.

Funny that we were asked what we wanted to BE when we grew up when it would have been more correct to ask what we wanted to DO when we grew up. WHAT you want to BE or WHO you want to BE is a whole different question...

I like the approach Deepak Chopra refers to in his book, The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success, in the chapter on Dharma:
"Everyone has a purpose in life... a unique gift or special talent to give to others. You have a talent that is unique in its expression, so unique that there's no one else alive on this planet that has that talent, or that expression of that talent."

Have you been lately on Chicisimo? So go there and chic-it… well you can chic-it on me
