TO - 03/02 - no music that briefly shuts down depressing days...

Today I am in a dear diary kind of mood.
I'm just feeling a little blue today.
I don't know what this is about the last few days. It could be the mid-winter blues. It could be the worrying state of the economy. It could be nothing. But, it feels like something.
I can see no cause. I can see no music that briefly shuts down depressing days by infusing them with meaning.
I wonder if I'm ungrateful. Honestly, there is no virtue in it, there is no meaning - there is only a day ticked away without me being...well...a happy self.
Sorry for the interruption, but excuse me for cutting this short - I have the sudden strongest urge to scream at the top of my lungs. Keeping my fingers crossed that it will make me feel better.

black varnish Mary Janes shoes - H&M

tweed coat (from a suit) – London buy
gray handbag - Mango

  8. Man, that's just what I should do! If it cures winter depression, I'm getting on the bandwagon. And if it leaves me looking as good as those photos, all the better :-)

  30. I like singing along to Kylie when I need to get it all out there "Your Disco needs you"

But a full tub of Ben and Jerrys also helps what ails ye!

You are looking fab and I believe channelling the 15 year old Hammie dressing up for a night at the YMCA disco (and sneaking into a pub), Bright Opaque tights, the dirndl skirt, big belts and shapely shoulders.

Of course, you were only a pre-schooler when I was hanging out with ImeldaMike in the mid 80s, so you are allowed to wear the fashions this time round, and they suit you better (I have chunky legs, should never have worn bright opaques)

    xx

  31. Seeker, Love these photos of your styles! Thank you! I'm not brave enought to do it. I started a blog recently dedicated to matters of midlife and style...not nearly so well conceived as Imogen's...I look forward to catching up on yours.

  35. It feels good to scream. I used to drive to the airport to do that and scream when the planes take off so no one hears me and I can let it all out as loud as I can. Maybe a vacation?

You are such a good friend Seeker, and I want to thank and hug you for your support and all the encouragement about school. It is such a big step for me.

  36. Sometimes claiming your voice at its loudest is a great idea. Be a rebel, and do it outside, maybe even in a big, open space. It will do you good, and perhaps it will call to the spring, which will bring you happier weather.

As for screaming, your outfit does not. Instead, it whispers confidence. You have a talent for dressing better than you feel inside. I need to learn how to do that!
