the power of blogosphere… interview with a Westrags’ client…

I never doubt about the power of blogosphere, the way it can be a great “mouth to mouth” form of communication, especially with fashion blogs.

So when I saw my co-worker looking stunning with a dress that was in my wish list I new I had to do a post about it with a little interview.

So here it goes…


-How did you get acquaintance of Westrags?

Trough my colleague at my work place, who is in fact the Seeker.

-What made you order from Westrags?

At first the way the company established contact with my colleague, very polite and professional, which created a sense of trust about shopping on line, something I have never done before. Then, obviously the beautiful clothes the company has to offer, the diversity in styles, the way the site is carefully presented, and, of course, the ratio quality/price!

-What do you think of the products and the service?

This is the second dress I buy from Westrags and I love them both. Both excellent ratio quality/price, easy and fast delivery, both fitted at first… I would like to make a suggestion though: to include the size length of clothes, specially dresses and skirts.

-Why did you agree to do this little interview with pictures?

Because you insisted, eheh… But specially to show that ‘non standard sized people’ can dress nicely as well, and this is also something positive about Westrags. Congratulations on your concept! And what about a new challenge: why not a Big and Beautiful section?

on Tuesday I was given a beautiful gardenia…

Over the last three years I’ve been the tutor of a young girl that studying in high school had to do an internship in a workplace integrating a discipline of her course.
One day and a half per week she was like a worker in my office.

This internship ended last Tuesday.

It was a very interesting experience for me.

When we started I had no clue how to do that and I went back and forward, learning with my mistakes and celebrating some achievements.
I believe we learned something from each other.

Now I suppose I have the feeling of the empty nest. My little bird grew up and is able to fly. And she must fly…

But we still have the friendship that we constructed and the believing that we can count with one another.

On the last day she gave me an offer. This lovely and beautiful gardenia that I will cherish in my home, waiting it flourishes as well as my “bird”.

I hope I made some difference in your life, my dear M*.

better late than never… the bloggers meeting…

With all those things that have happened lately in my life I hadn’t yet the opportunity or it didn’t feel appropriated to talk about a high point in my late trip to Toronto, early this year.

I’m talking about the wonderful bloggers meeting with the chic and lovely Kristin from K-Line who already spoke about it here as well did here Camisola Preta from Body... Mind... & Spirit....
Well in fact we were four bloggers, because Viajante from Café e Bolos was also with us.

It was really a treat to meet up with fellow fashion blogger K and had the most remarkable breakfast at the Pantry.
We ended up talking about almost everything, but mostly Kristin asked a lot of question about our Island. It was truly amazing to see her interest in it.

Kristin is not only friendly, style savvy and sweet natured, but super pretty and just an all round fabulous gal. She looked stunning in her fur vest, riding boots and killer smile.
I was so lucky enough to receive a great present from Kristin, a lovely and soft pink scarf.
And I’m looking forward to meet her again in Toronto or maybe, who knows, on the Island.

By the way, do you remember this tunic I ordered from Westrags? It’s the one I wore for this meeting, see how nice it is.

On these difficult times for me and my family, I want to thank you all my Dear Readers, Blogging Friends and Friends, who showed sympathy either in comments (on this Blog or on Facebook), e-mail or sent messages my way for my beloved Mother’s passing away.

As I’m mourning the loss of my Mother I’m wearing all black for some days, so I will not take shots of my outfits to post for now.
However I hope I’ll be able to do some posts. Well I can’t say I’ll be 100% back, but I guess slowly you’ll have news from me more often.

I also want to say sorry to all my dear blogging friends for not commenting on your blogs, for now I’m just having a slanted reading. I hope you’ll understand…

Once again thank you so much for your words of comfort and prayers.

Happy Easter...

600th post – The Art of Jesse – Alkimia

I’ve been waiting for a special moment to show you a special art piece that I was given. And what better moment that the celebration of my 600th post.

The very talented artist and my dear friend Jesse, from The Art of Jesse, has created and sent me this fierce painting as a special gift. More, he allowed me to name it.

I must say I felt very touched, grateful and happy. I even danced the Happy Dance with Happy Feet when it arrived.

When I unwrapped the package and I saw it, the first word that came to my mind was "alquimia", the Portuguese word for alchemy.
Alchemy transforms a normal thing into gold, which means changing something without value in a very valuable thing.
That's how I see this painting, two halves joining and changing in a value thing, a heart. (Not a broken heart)

So I named it "Alkimia"!!!
