three colours and one print....

Hello my dear readers and blogging friends.
I hope everything is great with you.
I miss you all!!!
I haven’t been a good blogger… I know.
However life has those things and we must set some priorities even if they are just our very own priorities.
But I would like to share with you my last shoots for a challenge made by Sylvia from 40+ Style, in which I participated. The challenge was to wear three colours and one print in the same outfit.

orange and tangerine…..

As per usual on these days today was again a rainy day, so rainy that I had to take my photos indoors. I took them in my office, but the conditions of light were no good, so I just pick this one.

I really felt comfortable in this dress, I love the print, the draped detail and the colours.

Some details

shoes - Primark
dress - Promod
blazer - najma
necklace - Hubby's gift

This is the first time that I’m linking up with Visible Monday and Monday Mingle. I hope you all enjoy the posts shared by all the lovely women on this weeks.

being casual chic with jeans and orange pumps….

Hello my dear readers and blogging friends!! Today it’s such a shining day, one of the best we had in a few days…. I hope on your “corner” it’s also a great weekend.

Those who know me a little better also know that I’m not a denim person. I just tend to invest less money on jeans, because I don’t wear them for work and they usually are only for casual occasions.
But last March when I was in mainland I had the opportunity to go to a Primark store (the first in my life) and I was so lucky about finding the right pair of jeans for me that I even bought two pairs. The ones I’m with today and another darker pair.
I’m so in love with them that I might broke my rules and one of these days I will wear them to work. I feel very comfortable in them and they are straight leg which is good for my pear body shape.

I forgot to take my camera with me when we left home so I took these pictures at my home backyard. They aren’t too good, but I just had to do a post today trying to break this rout I’m in and hopping that this is the first of many more to come on a daily basis.

Oh, by the way did you notice my orange pumps? I finally wore them ;)

el caballo y la herradura....

A title in Spanish meaning “the horse and the horseshoe…” in English or in Portuguese “o cavalo e a ferradura…”
Here we use to say that a horseshoe gives good luck, I don’t know if it’s also used in other places….
Well all I know is that I really need good luck now for all the things that I have to do at the office and at home. Besides I’m going on a trip to mainland next week with a short visit to Spain to attend a wedding.

vitamin C…. and another green piece….

Vitamin C is one of the safest and most effective nutrients, experts say. It may not be the cure for the common cold (though it's thought to help prevent more serious complications). But the benefits of vitamin C may include protection against immune system deficiencies, cardiovascular disease, prenatal health problems, eye disease, and even skin wrinkling.

A cup of orange juice or a half-cup of red pepper would be enough to meet your RDA for Vitamin C.... but what made me talk about it???

My orange pants pf course..... lol and by the way I wore again a green piece this time were the shoes.

On another note when I was taking a quick round on blogland I went to Advanced Style and saw this great post Life and Style Advice From a 100 Year Old Lady. Such an inspirational and lovely lady that I enjoyed listening to her. I recommend it…..

a Friday in complementary colours…..

This was my Friday’s look, simple but I guess it had a quirk, given by the…… scarf.
It’s a pity you can’t see it better, but it has a lot of colours specially greens with orange.

I wish you all, my dear readers and blogging friends, a fantastic weekend.

And by the way, don’t forget to check us on Facebook we have different stuff in there…. Besides we are now more than 4000 and counting, that’s great, thank you so much for all this nice support.

compromising…….

For this time of the year we have had lower temperatures than we are used to. So I have to conciliate my desire to dress my spring clothes with the cold, mixing them with some winter cardigans and coats.
That’s what I did one day of last week when I took these pictures.

Even though the weather is being somewhat unpredictable at the moment, you can still check out the latest womens clothing collection at www.very.co.uk. There's plenty to choose from to make sure you'll look stylish in any weather eventuality.

I bought these pants on-line at Zara, I order my regular size and when they came and I tried them they seemed OK, but now I don’t know why (maybe the body hit), they don’t fit me very well being larger than they should.

Today is Mother’s Day in some places, not here that it was last Sunday, however I would like to wish you all a Happy Day.

By the way don't forget to enter the SkinCareRx giveaway Here

I’ve decided that it was definitely Spring…..

So, despite the cold I had I went to the bright colours and colour blocking (with some flowers in the mix).

TO – 09/18 - flashy accessories to out stand… finding my inner feline with animal prints…

One of the Top 10 Fashion styles of Designer Clothing this fall-winter season has something to do with Flashy Accessories that make you stand out on the crowd.

To follow this trend, wear big necklaces, bracelets and rings with outlandish patterns.
I think I don’t know anyone who does it better as gorgeous Marian from Marian Kihogo, a Fashion Stylist and Writer behind the blogger.
Marian is so inspirational as you can see by these pictures below that I stole from her blog (I hope she wouldn’t sue me).
Check her blog for more.

Suddenly every shade of gray is hip. It's just a paler form of black, and black is always trendy, whether or not the fashion gods decree it, so gray is beatnik fashionable.

Also animal print goes a long way. So fashion gods may be pleased with the combination of the two trends.
Ok, if they aren’t, I am, because I really like this top!!!!

I love my white summer cardi...

...so I guess I’m going to wear it this summer until exhaustion.

Why I love it, I really don’t know, but it gives me some feelings of elegance, of sexiness.
Maybe it’s the shape, the texture…

Do you have any piece that makes you feel really great?

TO - 06/25 & 06/26 - the feeling of disappointing others... Rest In Peace, Michael Jackson...

June, 25 outfit

June, 26 outfit

I’ve been very busy and I need holidays. I’m feeling depressed and on a style standoff.
Using up the feeling of guilt is the most unbearable guilt.
It is people having high hopes from us.
We should use more often the right of disappointing others and less often the right of disappointing ourselves.
