Très Chic Style Bits #11 | my trip to Paris..... what I wore.... third day....

I’ve been thinking about our Link Up Party and realized that everyone who make the effort to link needed, besides the exposure gained for whatever you've been working on, to be featured in some way.
So, starting from now, I'll be pinning and sharing links throughout the week to my Très Chic Style Bits board on Pinterest!
I’m also thinking about doing something in Google +, but I’m not sure if it’s going to work, so we’ll see…. :)
Oh…. and it will be live until every Saturday.

********************
As some of you know, last September I made a trip to Paris and I started a serial posts about it, but never ended it.
If you’re interested about it, you can read here and here.

So on third day it was again time for celebration. It was Brother-in-law’s Birthday and we celebrated it. Another unforgettable day…..

The temperature dropped down and I thought Friday was a good day to wear my faux fur vest. I throw under it a plaid shirt and this is the result.
Of course I wore an overcoat, because vests and I, we don’t have a good relation. I love them, but I always feel cold in my arms.
I semi tucked the shirt and add up a nice necklace (not very well seen in the pictures) to give the look a more polished vibe, since it is a bit casual.
It was windy when Hubby took the photos, as you can see in my last picture, so my hair was a mess.

Today is the anniversary of my Father’s loss.
He was always there for me through both the good times and the bad
He was always there to laugh with, or to help me when I was sad
I remember his arms around me, loved the way they always felt warm
With him by my side I completely felt no harm
I remember all the things he did to make my life worthwhile
I guess I’m missing him more than I usually do with this heart of mine

Thanks for being the best dad a girl could ever find
I still miss your smile, Dad…..
May the light be with you!!!

here comes the sun.....

Another 2 in 1 post…. I mean two looks just in one post now because I have no time for more.

Yesterday the sun started to peek and the feeling that good weather might come was great to dress bright colours, like my green pants, paired with pastel, my light pink blazer.

Today we had such a nice day with the sun shinning at last. I had just the wish to wear my new Westrags white blazer.

I just hope the sun will last and will make the temperature goes up, because I have a friend’s weeding this weekend and my outfit requires the hit.

Yesterday

pink belt
flower printed shirt

Today

compromising…….

For this time of the year we have had lower temperatures than we are used to. So I have to conciliate my desire to dress my spring clothes with the cold, mixing them with some winter cardigans and coats.
That’s what I did one day of last week when I took these pictures.

Even though the weather is being somewhat unpredictable at the moment, you can still check out the latest womens clothing collection at www.very.co.uk. There's plenty to choose from to make sure you'll look stylish in any weather eventuality.

I bought these pants on-line at Zara, I order my regular size and when they came and I tried them they seemed OK, but now I don’t know why (maybe the body hit), they don’t fit me very well being larger than they should.

Today is Mother’s Day in some places, not here that it was last Sunday, however I would like to wish you all a Happy Day.

some Friday pictures....

OMG this has been such a cold weekend!!! Not usual in the Island in that time of the year, we have had maximum temperatures of 13º C, meaning lots of layers even indoors, because our houses are not prepared.
I hope Spring will come soon and with it some mood for the bright colours we have seen on the catwalks be seen on the streets.

This is my new necklace. I love it!!!
It was a recent gift from Hubby… well I had seen it and told how enchanted I was with it. Since Hubby knows I’m a “scrimpy” when it comes to buy some things to me and that I’m very worried with this crisis we are facing in our country, he knew I wasn’t going to buy it.
It was so sweet of him and a very nice surprise!!!

Today I read this article on IFB about Unprofessional Blogging by Vyqué White of Fasshonaburu which I recommend because has some great insights about the monster that is Blogger Guilt (something that has consumed me recently much).

The catastrophe that is happening in Japan with earthquakes and the tsunami make us feel a bit upset because our Islands are located in a disturbed place with quakes, so we feel related to what’s happening there.
Islanders know that at any time it could happen, but it always take us by surprise, and thinking if a big one is coming.
Japan is in our prayers and thoughts!

I took these pictures on Friday, of course I took of my heavy coat just for the shoots.

TO - 10/02 - ...October 1st, World Vegetarian Day... mixed prints on street style...

What we eat impacts the well being of ourselves, animals and the planet. Every year on October 1st, World Vegetarian Day kicks off Vegetarian Awareness Month. For those new to vegetarianism, it serves as an enticement to give meatless fare a try (even for a day) and learn about its many benefits.
Make a difference this October by inform yourself or informing others about the benefits of vegetarianism. You will be helping to create a better world because vegetarian diets have proven health benefits, save animals’ lives and help to preserve the Earth, not talking about spiritual aspects.
Have fun and make the World a better place!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Like I said lately I’ve been interested in prints. And I’m fascinated with some cool print mixes that appeared on internet from street style.
I really value people who have the courage to do that, because there are no rules, it’s a matter of sensibility, good sense and imagination for not look unpleasant.
So today I wore another printed piece. Just one because I’m not comfortable with mixing prints.
But today was one of those “four seasons in a day” weather. I hate it.
When I left home it was almost Winter, and it was Summer when I took these photos, but again it seemed Fall when we arrived home.
Oh well… that’s the Island weather.
