what should I wear.....???????

As per usual Sally from already pretty brought us this post that is thoughtful and right-on.
It definitely got me thinking….
And I reached the conclusion that for some reason (note to myself: try to find this reason), I’m becoming my worst critic person.
Almost 3 years ago I wrote a post about Dressing over 40 where I tell that “The forty-plus woman no longer fits the former labels of “mature, middle-aged or older.”” And I still believe in all that I wrote in that post.
So why now I’ve been asking myself some questions like “Is this my age appropriated?” And I wrestle with personal questions about my style and fashion. Seems that instead of being more confident I’m still insecure about my style, I’m feeling fragile. Maybe because this hasn’t been a good year….

Should I must continue my search… Maybe I’m not ready to leave…

(Note to self: learn not to expose that much)

"No Car Day" in the city....

September 22 marks the “Car-Free Day” in many cities and towns of the world in a bid to encourage people to leave their cars at home and join the campaign “Space for People.”
In 2000 the event was established as a Europe-wide initiative by the European Commission.
On “No Car Day” there are special 'green zones' in hundreds of cities. These normally vehicle congested areas are open only to pedestrians, bicycles, and buses from 7am to 7pm.
My city is one that takes part of this event, with the most important streets closed to car traffic and lots of people walking in the middle of it.
That’s where I took these pictures…. At the middle of the city main street… (Well it wasn’t a very comfortable situation with everybody looking at me and wondering what I was doing, because they knew I wasn’t a tourist…. So I just laugh!!)

The temperature is slowly dropping and a blazer can be already precious during some periods of the day.
I guess Fall is really arriving….

about Rising Signs...

Since I was born on January 10th my sign is Capricorn, but very often Hubby used to tell me that many times I didn’t act like it was supposed to a Capricorn.
Being a curious of these Astrology things (but not the horoscope in the newspaper), I searched on Internet and I made a birth chart which told me that my rising sign is Virgo and it makes all the difference.
The rising sign, more commonly known as the Ascendant, is one of the astrology signs in the Zodiac that is rising on the eastern horizon the moment you were born.
It is said to speak of first impressions or of how you appear to others. Oftentimes, you may disagree with what others have to say about you the first time you meet, and you may sometimes be unaware of these traits.
Your rising sign reflects your outer image that you may not even see at all. It can also speak of your physical beauty and how you regard your appearance.
Although it does not entirely make up your personality, your rising sign contributes much to your being, as it also speaks of your initial reactions to new situations or new environments. Its traits show up right away, unlike your Sun sign characteristics that you and others will discover over time.
Many astrology websites offer tools to help you instantly determine your rising sign. You can also purchase birth charts with the special points already indicated for your convenience.
As long as you provide your exact birth place and time details, you can accurately identify your rising sign, or you Ascendant.
After determining and interpreting your rising sign traits, you are on your way to understanding and accepting yourself and other people better.

when the streets had no name and the city was empty….

These pictures were taken last Monday (September 13th) witch means almost a week ago.
The city was empty because it was a local holiday, Our Lady of Miracles’ Day. It’s very interesting because it’s a populace religious occurrence with many people going from theirs home to the festivities place walking, sometimes during so many hours occasionally with bare feet, “paying” their promises to Our Lady.

My face isn’t that good because I was in the middle of a liver crisis… luckily (and thanks to some pills) I’m better now.

On another note today and tomorrow are special days… today is my dear sister Birthday and tomorrow it’s her husband’s.
Happy Birthday to you both!!!!!! Have a piece of cake for me… lol

Soon I hope we will meet again for happier times than the last one.
Love you!!!!!

about white noise...

White noise or white sound is defined as a random signal that has a uniform frequency spectrum.
It can be distinguished as an unvarying and steady droning sound. The concept of white noise is especially useful in masking or eliminating other unwanted noise or sounds, like the sound of traffic.
White noise machines are used specifically for this purpose. You can actually make white noise if you want a little privacy or simply want to zone out of any disturbing noises in the environment. Parents who are taking care of babies also use white noise machines to keep the infant from getting disturbed while sleeping.
Some ways that you can make white noise include using a small fan, buying a sound machine, using speakers or a music system, and using an old radio.
Today’s world is filled with noise pollution and distractions in the form of unwanted sounds. Despite being quite simple, the concept of white noise is actually very useful for resolving this problem.

giving corporate gifts...

Sometimes professionals give business gifts to thank their customers for previous transactions or to strengthen relationship with a client. Other times business gifts are given to promote continued patronage. No matter your reason for giving one, you want to make sure your gifts are impressive and memorable. To do that, look for quality gifts that express your genuine appreciation for the business relationship.
When you want to give a corporate gift that leaves a lasting impression, follow these simple tips: know your company, find out if colleagues are also giving corporate gifts to your shared associates, familiarize yourself with your customer’s company, know your client, and understand your gift supplier’s products and service qualities.
To give your client the best and most appropriate corporate gifts it is helpful to know his interests. What does he loves to do in his free time away from the office? If you have given him gifts before, think about the ones he really liked and appreciated. If you aren’t sure, see which ones he displays in his office. Consider whether or not he would like his gifts delivered at home or at his workplace.
