el caballo y la herradura....

A title in Spanish meaning “the horse and the horseshoe…” in English or in Portuguese “o cavalo e a ferradura…”
Here we use to say that a horseshoe gives good luck, I don’t know if it’s also used in other places….
Well all I know is that I really need good luck now for all the things that I have to do at the office and at home. Besides I’m going on a trip to mainland next week with a short visit to Spain to attend a wedding.

guest post - Sizzlin’ Swimwear for Summer

I’m so pleased to have Maria Rainier, a self described blog junkie and freelance writer as a guest blogger here at Searching the Inner Me…. Read below as she demystifies about selecting a swimsuit.

The Seeker

Sizzlin’ Swimwear for Summer

Okay, so most women don’t get overly excited about selecting a swimsuit each year, but this season, there are some really excellent choices that actually leave something to the imagination. Not ALL fashions have to be worn by stick thin model types, a few of the latest swimwear styles look pretty comfy and figure flattering!

Leopard Prints- Love it! The great thing about prints is that they hide all sorts of “trouble spots”. This season, the one piece is making somewhat of a comeback, so double plus!

Ruching- Another friend of mine! The gathering of material in key places perfectly placed over problem areas is an inventive and modern way of updating the one piece. J Crew and Reiss have hit the nail on the head with their latest looks!

Belting- It’s not just for pants anymore. Whether on a bikini or one piece swimsuit, belts and buckles are popping up everywhere! Even the top designers such as Michael Kors and Marc Jacobs are jumping on board. A little pricey, but well worth it!

Geometric Prints- Last. but not least, the uber modern geometric print is back! Hotter than ever, this look tricks the eye by hiding all sorts of flaws! From bright neons to black ad whites, geometric prints are the “it” look of 2011!

in the urban jungle…....

Over half of the world's population now lives in the urban jungle. One environment that's been made by us for us - the city it refers to its streets, alleys, subway system, inner-city neighbourhoods, playgrounds and schools. Usually a metropolis characterized by densely packed residential buildings, businesses and a decaying industrial sector.
In the 1970's, the urban jungle was referred to as "the street". Also known as "the concrete jungle", the city is built to keep wild nature out - but nature can't be pushed away. People are starting to realise that nature is key to our continued survival. The human planet is starting to realise that we'll only survive if we protect nature.
So I wore my black and white animal print to camouflage myself in this jungle……

Talking about something different have you noticed that I changed my motto?????

my new ring and the Third Eye......

When I look to my new ring I can’t help but seeing an eye. And despite the image is very different what comes to my mind is the Third Eye.
The Third Eye Chakra is located in the center of the head behind our eyebrows. This Chakra is related to our ability to perceive clearly. Intuition, insight, and imagination are also associated with this Chakra.
According to the Reiki knowledge an open third-eye chakra is the source of our intuition and clairvoyance (vision beyond ordinary sight) as well as our ability to visualize and manifest. Blockages of this chakra abound, resulting in fear of the imagination, dreams and our "irrational" intuitive insights. Physical symptoms of third-eye imbalance may include persistent headaches (especially in the center of the forehead), insomnia, anxiety and depression.

So, to prevent some of these I guess I’m addicted to wear the colour blocking trend. And I feel great with it. I know I make some heads turn back, but I really don’t care!
