on the first day of Fall.....

Hello my dear readers and blogging friends! I hope all is great with you.

So here we are officially in Fall, the season most wanted for all fashionistas because is a season that can be largely creative in outfit terms.

On the first day of Fall we had rain but yet hot and since the weather on the Island is mainly full of personality and too emotional we’re entering in a phase that we can have rain in the morning, a hot sunshine in the middle of the day and a cold afternoon….. so whatever we dress we always get the risk to get it wrong.

But here is what I wore on the first day of Fall.

but I still haven't found what....... I'm "seeking" for....

Hello my dear readers and blogging friends, I’ve been thinking a lot about you and missing you.

So, since we’re almost officially in Fall I’ve been thinking it would be a great time to do a “rentrée” and start again giving some life to this blog, even if not on a daily basis. Because as this post title says I haven’t found it yet……

And what a better song to talk about it than the one from the U2 (from who I’m a big fan) “I Still Haven't Found What Im Looking For”……..

Meanwhile I leave you with my today’s outfit and a picture of my hands, to show you how I have done my nails. I’m still practicing but I suppose it’s cool, don’t you agree?????

fall/winter 2011/12 trends..... jewel tones

The palette has moved on from summer's acid brights and paintbox pops of colour into the sumptuous realm of jewel tones for autumn/winter 2011-12.

With names like amethyst, sapphire, emerald, ruby, garnet and citrine - these hues have the power to make you feel rich and sophisticated.
While there was plenty of black to be seen on the catwalks, it was peppered with striking colours that dazzled in their desirability, just like real-life gems. For maximum impact, wear one colour from head-to-toe, shades of jade and rich ruby red stand out best.
If that's too much, let your accessories do the sparkling, with clutch bags or ladylike heels in precious tones.

fall/winter 2011/12 trends..... Sixties Scene

Go back in time this autumn/winter 2011-12.
Leave fashion's summer obsession with the Seventies and look to Sixties style icons Mary Quant, Twiggy and Julie Christie to inspire your new season look.

Go for fabrics that will hold their shape in shift dresses and two-piece skirt suits
Look for coats with sloping shoulders and bracelet sleeves and wear with polonecks, miniskirts, knee-high boots or pretty pointed court shoes.

fall/winter 2011/12 trends..... one of the Boys

On the autumn/winter 2011-12 runways, audiences were primed for a gender shake-up.

This season, all the coolest girls will be borrowing from the boys, with pinstripes, felt suiting, white shirts and trousers providing a fresh riff on tailoring, while silk ties, cummerbunds and overcoats pack a manly punch. Feminine curves were literally enveloped under this masculine aesthetic, as the super-sized, slouchy cuts and jackets and overcoats. For a feminine twist, add a plunging silk shirt or sparkly trousers and heels.

fall/winter 2011/12 trends..... print and pattern

For braver dressers, this season is a master class in pattern, decorative, spots, floral or motif - the choice is yours.

Richly-coloured blooms flowered on dresses and coats, while motifs made an impact when mixed with a monochrome palette.
"Grown-up and elegantly realised, spots are the key decoration to play with now," says Vogue's Emma Elwick-Bates. "Sheer circles, sophisticated paillettes and racy cut-outs provide evening magic." They are also the best place for print novices to begin experimenting.
